Benefits

Full time employees are eligible to receive the Dental Plan and Extended Health Care Plan from the date of employment until such time as the Employee ceases to be actively employed by the Employer. The Employer pays 100% of the premium.

Part time members who regularly work 20 hours a week are eligible to receive the Dental Plan and Extended Health Care Plan, with the Employer paying 75% of the premium and the member paying the remaining 25% of the cost of the plan. Once enrolled, this is an automatic deduction from your pay cheque.

The coverage is provided through GreenShield, Canada.

It includes;

  • An Extended Health Care Plan with a pay direct drug card (pay direct card coming in August or September of 2023)
  • Life insurance and Accidental Death dismemberment level of two (2) times the Employee’s annual salary,
  • Wage Replacement plan
  • Long Term Disability Plan based on sixty (60) percent of earnings to a maximum of $6500 a month)
  •  Dental plan- Basic services and Comprehensive Basic Services unlimited, 100% coverage shall be amended to the current ODA schedule as of January 1, annually.
  • A Major Medical Plan
  • A Vision Care Package of four (400) hundred dollars per family member every twenty four (24) calendar months. Maximum of 100 ($100) dollars every two (2) years for eye examinations for the plan member and spouse (if enrolled) and dependent children over eighteen (18) years of age.
