During the virtual General Membership Meeting on January 17, 2025 the members voted on the remaining By Law amendments as recommended by CUPE National President Mark Hancock. The amendments were approved and will be sent back to CUPE National for approval. This has been a long and timely process as the last time the bylaws were updated was in 2014 and it was not evident whether the updates at the time were fully incorporated. As such, there were several versions of Local 4366’s bylaws in existence and there was no definitive way to determine which was the true version.
Upon approval of the remaining bylaw amendments, the document will be compiled by our CUPE National representative, Bonnie Wong’s office. A digital copy will be emailed to all members as well as added to the website.
Going forward it will be much easier to update the bylaws in a more efficient and timely manner.
Thank you again to all those involved in the process along the way.
